What to Expect

After signing with Trinity for the year, players will receive uniforms, practice shirts, warm ups, and a volleyball. Each team will have at least one coach and will typically roster 8-10 players, however, sometimes teams have held over 10. After teams are formed, the club will develop a practice schedule by the end of October, team’s will practice 2-3 times a week for 1.5 to 2 hours, this too can change due to various factors. Coaches will hand out a finalized tournament schedule at their parent meeting. The club dues cover uniforms, facility usage, equipment, coaches’ travel expenses, coaches’ pay and coaches’ education. Note: Any player not in good financial standing will not be allowed to participate in any Trinity program, event or training until that standing is rectified. This includes sibling’s accounts too.

Practice Expectations

It is our expectation that you arrive to practice 10 minutes before the start of practice and your daughter is ready to go before the start of practice. If you are going to be late to practice you need to make sure that you communicate in a timely manner to the coach that you will be late. Tardiness can influence your daughter’s opportunity to receive playing time at tournaments.

As a parent you should expect the coaches to arrive on time and prepared to run an organized and challenging practices that focuses on not only your daughter’s needs but also the needs of the team. However, understand that the needs of the team come first. We instruct our coaches to make playing time fair during practices because it is during practice that your daughters will grow the most.

Tournament Expectations

It is critical for players to always remember to bring all uniforms, knee pads, court shoes, a volleyball and food when preparing for a tournament. Most of the venues we play at typically sell food (not always healthy), but sometimes food is unavailable. At Trinity Volleyball we agree with the saying “Failure to prepare, is preparing to fail”, so make sure you prepare.

Trinity Volleyball Club believes in the idea that playing time for all travel players is determined by their performance and attitude. At tournaments, playing time is left to the discretion of the coach. We do not guarantee equal playing time on any team. Each player on a travel team will be issued a volleyball. It is the players responsibility to take care of their volleyball and to bring it to tournaments.
